Peer assessment of an individual's skills in a software project team: An extension of a systematic literature mapping from the perspective of tools
Abstract
This study builds upon the Systematic Literature Mapping (SLM) conducted by [Santos et al. 2020], aiming to identify new tools to enhance the features of the “Peer Skills Assessment System” (PSAS) framework, thereby contributing to the evolution of competency assessment practices in software teams. Using the methodology proposed by [Kitchenham et al. 2004], the study was conducted in four stages, from planning to data analysis. The results reveal that formative and summative assessments are the most commonly used types of peer evaluation, with peer ranking and co-evaluation predominating. The questionnaire was identified as the most widely employed tool, leading to its implementation in the PSAS framework.
