A study on behaviors in pedagogical mediations on digital platforms in the context of education

Abstract

This study investigates teachers' perspectives on behaviors associated with pedagogical mediation actions, both by teachers and students, with the aim of understanding which mediation practices are most valued and how they affect the educational process. To this end, the main verbs related to mediation actions mentioned by teachers were identified, such as "interact", "discuss" and "participate". Based on these verbs, the correlations between these terms and the mediation behaviors observed were analyzed. As a result, the research identified positive and negative aspects of these practices, which were grouped into two categories: Teaching Methods and Tools, and Educational Intervention Strategies. These insights can help guide improvements in pedagogical practices, promoting a more effective and collaborative learning environment.
