Collaboration in Virtual Practice Environments: conceptual framework based on situated learning
Abstract
Terms such as Web 2.0 and Education 4.0 seek to debate changes in society and work on solving global problems that have an impact on different cultures, focusing on the use of computer technologies and also on the ability to collaborate. In education, there are popular technologies in virtual learning environments (VLEs) to support the process, but with little collaborative process. A conceptual framework is proposed, called CaPE, which works on the collaborative process based on the theory of learning situated in VLEs. CaPE, evaluated in focus group, is divided into four stages: requirements, resources, actions, and scenarios, proposing the centrality of collaboration in educational practice.
