"Records of the Soul": Web-based Support System for Confronting School Violence
Abstract
The growing violence in society has impacted the school environment, making it hostile for many students. One of the important strategies for dealing with this scenario is making this problem visible and listening sensitively to students. Imbued with this purpose, the Extension Program ”Education Observatory”, at the State University of Feira de Santana, proposed and developed a multidisciplinary web system, which manages an application for sharing statements about bullying and prejudice. This environment allows the posting of educational content on the subject and management, by teachers and researchers from the Group of Studies and Research in Inclusive Education (GEPEI), of testimonies from students from public schools in the state of Bahia. The main objective is to assist in the analysis of student statements, promote awareness and encourage anonymous reporting of cases of violence.
