Educational Game about Recycling for People with Intellectual Disabilities
Abstract
Recycling is a way of reusing and reducing the amount of waste discarded. It is essential to carry out and publicize actions to encourage the population to adopt this practice. Educational games can play an important role in this process because they combine entertainment and make learning attractive. This paper presents the educational game My Clean Park, which addresses the topic of waste recycling. The game was applied to students with intellectual disabilities at a school in the Campos Gerais region of Paraná state. As a result, it was found that the students learned about the subject addressed in the game, how to classify waste and dispose of it in an appropriate place.
