Enriching Education with Digital Technologies: Development of Extension Actions for High School Students in the Interior of Ceará

Abstract

Practical teaching focused on current market topics is a gap in higher and secondary education that university extension agents such as LearningLab are trying to fill by spreading knowledge beyond university walls. This study describes the planning, execution and results of mini-extension courses carried out by LearningLab in regular and vocational high schools in a city in the interior of Ceará, focused on digital inclusion and training for students. The data was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, showing that 80% of the students were satisfied with the practical methodology. In addition, the majority said they enjoyed the content and learned new concepts.
