Maturity in Project Portfolio Management for Software: an experimental study
Abstract
Project Portfolio Management has gained attention in recent years as organizations have become increasingly project, program, and portfolio oriented [Killen 2000]. However, portfolio managment activities remain new and unknown to many companies [Levine 2007]. This scenario applies to different domains, among them software development. This paper describes an empirical study performed to identify the Portfolio Management maturity level of Brazilian software organizations. The results from the current study are presented, and comparisons with a former study are performed.
