RiskFree - A Risk Management Tool Based on PMBOK and Adhering to CMMI

Abstract

In this paper, we present a flexible risk management tool - RiskFree. It is designed to help project managers and their teams to manage, monitor, and control risks in software development projects by easily adapting to the organizational needs. We also present in this paper the relation of the tool with the best practices of the PMBOK and the risk management process area in the CMMI model. Finally, we present the tool improvement opportunities.
