The Proceedings of the 23rd Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS 2024) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Salvador/BA, Brazil, from November 05-08, 2024. This edition features three tracks: the Research Track, the Experience Reports Track, and the Software Quality Education Track. Additionally, the event includes the Software Quality Thesis and Dissertation Contest (CTDQS) and the Scientific Initiation Work Contest in Software Quality (CTICQS). In total, the proceedings showcase 75 full papers, selected from 167 submissions. Of these, 39 were accepted in the Research Track, 13 in the Experience Reports Track, and 14 in the Software Quality Education Track. Furthermore, 6 papers were approved in the CTDQS, and 3 in the CTICQS. The papers submitted to the Research, Experience Reports, and Software Quality Education tracks underwent a double-blind review process, while submissions to the CTDQS and CTICQS were evaluated through a single-blind review process. This volume was organized by José Carlos Maldonado (USP) and Tayana Conte (UFAM) – coordinators of the Research Track; Edna Canedo (UnB) and Johnny Marques (ITA) – coordinators of the Experience Reports Track; Breno França (Unicamp) and Patrícia Matsubara (UFMS) – coordinators of the Software Quality Education Track; Davi Viana (UFMA) and Sérgio Soares (UFPE) – coordinators of the CTDQS 2024; Gleison Santos (UNIRIO) and Larissa Soares (UNEB) – coordinators of the CTICQS 2024; and Ana Carolina Oran (UFAM) – publications chair for SBQS 2024.
