Provisão de Banda de Guarda Adaptativa em Redes Ópticas Elásticas
Abstract
The guard band is a frequency interval that separates the active circuits that share the same links in order to reduce interference between them. In this way, the size of the frequency interval used as the guard band can be used in an adaptive way, searching for a balance between quality of transmission and spectral efficiency. The main objective is to study the problem of guard band allocation and to propose new solutions aiming at a better performance of elastic optical networks. In the first scenario, the proposed GUARDIAN algorithm achieved a gain between 99.15% and 99.97% over the other algorithms. In the second scenario, the proposed GBOM algorithm presented a gain between 20.00% and 88.55% over the others.
