ns3-ORAN: Uma Implementação do Open-RAN para o Simulador ns-3

Abstract


The Open-RAN (O-RAN) brings more competitiveness to the mobile infrastructure marked with the disaggregation of the Radio Access Networks (RANs). Standardized interfaces and RAN Intelligent Controllers (RICs) allow for the interoperability of different hardware and software providers. In spite of that, the architecture and implementation complexity and the development of control and optimization applications for the RICs are challenged slowing the deployment. In this paper, we present a module for the prototyping of RIC applications for an O-RAN network in the ns-3 network simulator.
