Um Estudo Empírico sobre Crowdsourcing: O Brasil na plataforma TopCoder

Resumo


Este artigo descreve uma análise quantitativa dos programadores do Brasil que atuam na maior plataforma crowdsourcing do mundo na área de engenharia de software, a TopCoder. Além disso, considerando apenas os desenvolvedores ativos, uma análise é feita comparando os brasileiros com os programadores de outros países, assim como os brasileiros comparados com os programadores das regiões do BRICS, America Latina e Leste Europeu. Os resultados deste estudo podem ser utilizados para melhorar a participação dos engenheiros de software brasileiros.
