Information Systems Evaluation: methodological analysis of twenty years of scientific publications

  • Fernando Skackauskas Dias UFMG

Abstract

Through the review of scientific articles, a descriptive table was built on the Information Systems Assessment methodologies, outlining the main characteristics and structures. The interest of this research is to contribute with an updated framework on the subject of Information Systems Assessment. To this end, an analysis of articles published in international journals between 1985 and 2005 was carried out, totaling 105 articles. The criteria for “Evaluation of Research Articles in Information Systems” were used. The results obtained allow us to demonstrate a research trend towards a multidisciplinary approach and the alignment of systems with corporate strategies.
