Gerenciamento de Máquinas Virtuais em uma Cloud Multimídia por meio do Metaescalonamento

Abstract


This paper proposes two algorithms for allocation of virtual machines which deal with multimedia services. The first one is based on information from services such as computational cost and deadline of the viewing frame to adjust the amount and configuration of virtual machines. The second one estimates the runtime of a multimedia service based on the characteristics of streaming and quantity of services per user, allocating a number of virtual machines in order to meet the required deadline. Both algorithms were tested and the results are demonstrated through the design of experiments.
