Abstract

This paper presents some preliminary results obtained from a study performed with college professors when the COVID-19 Pandemic started. Its aim was to identify what they feel, and which circumstances triggered their emotions. Surprisingly, through diaries, participants mentioned more frequently positive emotions, such as: satisfaction, happiness, fun and proud. Frustration, sadness, guilty and misgiving were the negative ones. Delivering lectures was the circumstance which appeared both when they pointed satisfaction and frustration. It is noted that the results presented in the paper converged with what the literature says about the importance of the connection between teacher and student during the teaching process, a component that has changed significantly because of remote teaching.
