Copyright Management in Distance Education in the Field of Computing
Abstract
Increasingly, the use of multimedia both in face-to-face education and in distance education turns to be a reality. Both students and teachers benefit from the falling costs of hardware, from the increase in the bandwidth and from the easiness to share and reuse digital media. In this sense, it becomes essential to develop policies and strategies for the management of copyright. While focusing on the computing area, this study presents the essential elements to be considered. This research summarizes the practice of the authors while participants on different projects from public institutions. The projects demanded in-depth research on copyright and suggested relevant strategies.
