An analysis of internship experience from the perspective of students at the Faculty of Computing at UFPA

Abstract

Many companies need more skilled labor to fill their vacancies in the ICT area. These companies can use internships as a preparation stage for their trainees to fill these vacancies. The study presented in this article aimed to understand the main characteristics of the internship vacancies filled by students at the Faculty of Computing of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). The research was carried out using a survey and involved 39 students. One of the study's main results shows that companies should offer more training opportunities to their interns and see them as future employees.
