CoreSec: An Ontology as an Educational Tool to Support the Teaching of Information Security Courses

Abstract

In academic area of Informatics, there are several difficulties to learn disciplines related to security of the information. That can be comprised with the low index of student’s comprehension. This work aims at contributing to surpass the difficulties, offering mechanisms, through ontology development, in the education and collaboration among students in the security of the information learning. The proposal presents the CoreSec ontology and is based in the first experience of that ontology in class.
