“Coleta Seletiva Mobile”: um jogo educativo em realidade virtual para Educação Ambiental
Abstract
This paper presents the development and validation of an educational game in virtual reality (VR) called "Selective Mobile Collect," with the aim of raising awareness and teaching the practice of selective waste collection to the academic community and the surrounding community of the campus. The game was developed for mobile devices using the Unity game engine, and the 3D models of waste, trash cans, and environments were created in the Blender software. The research methodology is based on the ideation and development of educational games using virtual reality technology, and the approach had both quantitative and qualitative aspects. The project's management and development methodology were fundamentally agile. The game was validated by the academic community and the surrounding community, with 97.5% of respondents stating that the game is aligned with the learning objectives for which it was developed. 55% affirmed that the software helped them fully understand the concepts related to selective waste collection addressed in the game, and 30% stated that this objective was largely achieved.
