Abstract

This article presents the TIChers project that carries out awareness and training actions for elementary, middle high and high school teachers to increase the representation of women in the Computing area. The strategy of working directly with teachers is still incipient in the Brazilian context. However, several studies indicate the influence of experiences in elementary, middle high and high school when choosing a professional career. The preliminary results are promising in the perspective of generating self-confidence in teachers to address Computing issues with their classes.
