Use of the Notebook of Unplugged Activities during the Pandemic: An Experience Report
Abstract
Ada Lovelace, Grace Hooper, Carol Shawn, among others, are women who were part of the history of Computing, making it seem that the area of computing is desired among women, however this number is small. With social isolation due to Covid-19 and the need to bring knowledge about female representation to girls, the Digital Girls Regional Sergipe project made available to 173 students a printed unplugged activity notebook, for resolution without the help of an instructor. The evaluation of 84 questionnaires applied as pretest and post-test indicated that there was an improvement of about 27% in the memory of female personalities and the concept of unplugged computing after solving the notebook.
