Abstract

Ada Lovelace's life is a source of inspiration for women and men of all ages, for being a bright-eyed and visionary person. Her greatest achievement was to have drawn up what is considered the first computer program in history. This article presents a methodological proposal for the didactic use of a children's book about the life of Ada Lovelace, through the proposition of a circuit of unplugged activities, to work on the pillars of computational thinking in children and adolescents. This approach was applied in a workshop at the LAWCC–CLEI 2018 (X Congress of Latin American Women in Computing-Latin American Conference on Informatics). A quali-quantitative analysis was performed, indicating the suitability of the proposal.
