The Proceedings of the 12th Workshop on Experimental Research of the Future Internet (WPEIF 2021) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held online in Uberlândia/MG, on August 20, 2021, as part of the 39th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Networks and Distributed Systems (SBRC 2021). In this issue, the proceedings include 07 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind peer-review process. The general chairs of the event were professors Pedro Frosi Rosa (UFU) and Flávio de Oliveira Silva (UFU), and the event's program committee was coordinated by Antônio Jorge Gomes Abelém (UFPA), Flávio de Oliveira Silva (UFU), and José Ferreira de Rezende (UFRJ), who jointly organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on July 08, 2021, accepted for publication on July 28, 2021, with the final version submitted on August 02, 2021.
