Modelo de simulação em OMNET++ para a avaliação de desempenho da rede de comunicação de um SAS baseado na Norma IEC61850
Abstract
This paper proposes a model for capacity analysis of substation networks based on IEC61850 for the open source tool OMNET++. The proposed model describes the behavior of the main elements of the communication network of a Substation Automation System (SAS), such as intelligent electronic devices, merging units, ethernet switches with IEEE 802.1Q support and Dual Node Attached PRP. Based on the proposed simulation model, it is possible to observe the latencies in messages like GOOSE and Sampled Values for different network topologies commonly used in SAS. Moreover, we developed modules to simulate standard protocols of a substation based on IEC 61850, such as the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, used to recover from failures, and the recent Parallel Redundancy Protocol, which avoids network outages. The results demonstrate and validate the operation of the developed modules, allowing the performance analysis of the network topologies commonly used in substation automation.
