PALMS+: Protocolo ALM baseado em desigualdade triangular para distribuição de streaming de vídeo
Abstract
In this work, it is proposed several improvements to a simple ALMbased protocol, using a tree fashion protocol called PALMS+. Experimental results conducted in OverSim platform (OMNet++) suggest that PALMS+ improves the performance of a state-of-art (e.g. NICE protocol) with a high churn. Also, the control message overhead at peers, for the PALMS+ protocol, is reduced by 10%, when compared to NICE protocol. In the PALMS+ protocol, chunks are delivered up to 1,5s. The proposed protocol is very suitable to video real-time streaming, mainly for cases scenarios with a high churn.
