The Proceedings of the 20th Workshop on Performance of Computer and Communication Systems (WPerformance 2021) bring the papers selected and presented in the online edition of the event, on July 18 to 23, as part of the 41st Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2021) which had the theme "Innovation and Digital Transformation: Facing the Complexity and Uncertainties of the Contemporary World". In this issue, the proceedings include 11 full papers and 2 short papers. These papers were selected through a blind peer-review process, from a total of 27 full papers and 2 short papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 40,7% for full papers. The event's program committee was coordinated by Henrique Cota de Freitas (PUC Minas) and Samuel Xavier de Souza (UFRN), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on April 16, 2021, accepted for publication on May 21, 2021, with the final version submitted on June 4, 2021.
