The Proceedings of the 15th Brazilian Symposium on High-Performance Computing Systems (SSCAD 2014) bring the papers selected and presented in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, on October 8 to 10. In this issue, the proceedings include 18 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind review process. The event's program committee was coordinated by Denise Stringhini (UNIFESP) and Liria M. Sato (USP), who organized this volume.
