BraSNAM in perspective: an analysis of its trajectory up to 10 years of existence
Abstract
The increase in pervasiveness and relevance of social media in our daily lives is undeniable. Since 2012, the Brazilian Workshop on Social Network Analysis and Mining (BraSNAM) represents an important forum to bring together researchers to discuss analysis methods, trends, and phenomena in social networks. In 2021, this event completes 10 years, with 230 works presented so far. In addition, it has a community made up of 527 researchers and researchers from 95 different institutions. In light of this framework, this work presents an analysis of the BraSNAM community. The results attest to the sustainable growth of the community, especially concerning its technical-scientific impact. The findings of the work can help the organizing committee in the strategic planning of the subsequent editions.
