The Proceedings of the 34th Thesis and Dissertation Contest (CTD 2021) of the CSBC 2021 bring the papers selected and presented in the online edition of the event, from July 18 to 23, as part of the 41st Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2021) which had the theme "Innovation and Digital Transformation: Facing the Complexity and Uncertainties of the Contemporary World". In this issue, the proceedings include 6 Ph.D. Thesis and 10 Master's Dissertation papers. These papers were selected through a blind peer-review process, from a total of 46 Ph.D.'s Thesis and 77 Master's Dissertation papers submitted. The event's program committee was coordinated by Débora Christina Muchaluat Saade (UFF) and Carina Friedrich Dorneles (UFSC), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on April 5th, 2021, accepted for publication on May 10th, 2021, with the final version submitted on May 24th, 2021.
