The Development of Civic Technologies as a Form of Exercise of Citizenship
Abstract
This article reports a pedagogical experience that aimed to promote the exercise of citizenship through the development of civic technologies. The activity was carried out with a group of students from a technical course in informatics integrated into high school. The proposal consisted of extracting, processing and analyzing open data to answer questions prepared by groups of up to three students and present the results through a web page with interactive graphics and an academic summary. As a result, there was student engagement, since the themes worked on were selected by each group, and a greater understanding of being a citizen in the virtual world.
