The Proceedings of the 3rd Brazilian Symposium on Computing Education (EduComp 2023) bring the selected and presented papers in the third edition of the event held online from 24 to 29 April 2023, with the theme “The Legacy of Remote Teaching in Computer Education”. In this issue, the proceedings include 41 full papers, which were selected through a double-blind peer review, from a total of 88 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 46%. The event's Program Committee was coordinated by Windson Viana (UFC). The papers in this volume were submitted on 10/24/2022, accepted for publication on 12/16/2022, with the camera-ready version submitted on 01/23/2022. This volume was edited by Williamson Silva (UNIPAMPA), Ana Liz Oliveira (UFPB), Pedro Henrique Dias Valle (UFJF), and Ricardo Ferreira Vilela (UFCA).

EduComp 2023 included five tracks:

  • Track 1: Research Papers, coordinated by Windson Viana (UFC) and Jean Carlo Hauck (UFSC);
  • Track 2: Experience Reports, coordinated by Fabiane Benitti (UFSC) and Kiev Gama (UFPE);
  • Track 3: Curriculum, coordinated by Mônica Massa (UNEB) and Ana Paula Ferreira (UNIPAMPA);
  • Track 4: Educational Resources and Environments, coordinated by Aracele Fassbinder (IFSulDeMinas) and Rafaela Rocha (UFABC); and
  • Track 5: Essays, coordinated by Roberto Pereira (UFPR) and João Henrique Berssanette (IFPR).
