Cyberbullying at School: Understanding and Dealing with Online Cruelty
Abstract
Teaching computing at school has been the subject of numerous discussions, being the focus of recent educational policies in several countries. However, educating students in the area is going beyond problem solving, discussing critical aspects and the social impact that Computing can have on society. In this context, this research proposes didactic material for the Final Years of Elementary School, focusing on dealing with cyberbullying, in dialogue with the provisions of the Norms on Computing in Basic Education - Complement to the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). For its design, a systematic review was carried out, in addition to mapping the Computing skills provided for in the aforementioned Standards, and the analysis of related didactic materials. These results subsidized the creation of comics gathered in the digital book “Cyberbullying: Uma Brincadeira de Mau Gosto” and a didactic sequence that could support a critical discussion on the subject in schools, which are presented in this article.
