Application of Methods based on Business Processes for Service Development

Abstract


SOA is fundamental for organizations to be able to adapt to the constant changes. Service development is not a simple task. A systematic process should be used to guide the work. This work presents the practical application of methods for the development of services for identification, analysis, design and implementation, as well as the use of an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to support their implementation. Oracle Service Bus was chosen after analysis between commercial and open source tools. Although specific methods have been used, this work brings new insights and practical experiences useful for SOA Analysts and SOA Developers to apply in their environments.
