Mathematical Model for the School Transportation Problem in Rural Areas

Abstract


This paper presents a generic mathematical model for the School Bus Routing Problem (SBRP) in rural areas, in order to minimize the total cost involved end ensuring that students are transported timely. Factors such as vehicle capacity and time window of schools are observed in the model.
