The Proceedings of the 2nd Theory of Computation Meeting (ETC 2017) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in São Paulo/SP, Brazil, from July 02 to 06, 2017, as part of the 37th Congress of the Brazilian Computing Society (CSBC 2017), whose theme was "Computing for Everything and Everyone". In this issue, the proceedings include 32 papers. The event's Chairs Cláudia Linhares Sales (UFC) and Rosiane de Freitas (UFAM) organized this volume.
