Current Issue
The Proceedings of the ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences Workshops (ACM IMXw 2025) bring the papers selected and presented at the event held from June 3 to 6, 2025, at Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the theme "Riding the Waves of Innovation and Diversity in Interactive Media." This volume was organized by George Ghinea (Brunel University London), Aura Conci (Fluminense Federal University), and Wendy Van den Broeck (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), workshop coordinators, together with José Viterbo (Fluminense Federal University) and Roberto Willrich (Federal University of Santa Catarina), publication chairs. This edition brings together the selected papers from the following workshops:
- Interaction and Storytelling with(in) Immersive Media Workshop (ISIM 2025) received a total of 9 submissions, all of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 100%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Mario Montagud (University of Valencia, i2CAT Foundation), Iris Jennes (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, imec-SMIT), Maurizio Murroni (University of Cagliari), and Sergi Fernández (i2CAT Foundation). Papers were submitted on 04/08/2025, accepted for publication on 04/21/2025, and final versions were submitted on 04/28/2025;
- Life Improvement in Quality by Ubiquitous Experiences Workshop (LIQUE 2025) received a total of 8 paper submissions, all of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 100%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Anselmo C. Paiva (Federal University of Maranhão), Aura Conci (Fluminense Federal University), Débora C. Muchaluat-Saade (Fluminense Federal University), Fátima L. S. Nunes Marques (University of São Paulo), and Tiago Bonini Borchartt (Federal University of Maranhão). Papers were submitted on 04/04/2025, accepted for publication on 04/17/2025, and final versions were submitted on 04/28/2025;
- International Workshop on Video for Immersive Experiences (Video4IMX 2025) received a total of 2 paper submissions, all of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 100%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Lyndon Nixon (MODUL Technology), Vasileios Mezaris (CERTH-ITI), and Stefanos Vrochidis (CERTH-ITI). Papers were submitted on 04/07/2025, accepted for publication on 04/21/2025, and final versions were submitted on 05/05/2025;
- Workshop on Extended Reality for Education (XR4Edu 2025) received (together with the Workshop Immersive Technologies in Professional Training: Towards a Sustainable and Responsible Production) a total of 11 paper submissions, 10 of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 90.90%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Laura Coura (Federal University of Ouro Preto), Saul Delabrida (Federal University of Ouro Preto), Reinaldo Fortes (Federal University of Ouro Preto), Sílvia Amélia Bim (Federal University of Technology – Paraná), and Davinia Hernández-Leo (Pompeu Fabra University). Papers were submitted on 03/10/2025, accepted for publication on 04/21/2025, and final versions were submitted on 04/28/2025.
