GeoHistory PR: a website to support the teaching of History and Geography with a focus on the state of Paraná

Abstract

This article aims to present a website called "GeoHistória PR", which consists of a web platform designed to assist entrance exam candidates learn about the subjects of History and Geography with a focus on the state of Paraná. In order to make the website, a bibliographical review was carried out on the History and Geography curriculum in the context of the state of Paraná, with an emphasis on secondary education and official state documents. Technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js and MySQL was used to develop the website. On the website it will be possible to consult specific materials about the two curricular components already mentioned, such as video classes, support materials and entrance exam questions. As partial results, non-functional prototype screens have already been produced, with the aim of planning the structure and layout of the website. In this sense, it is expected that the web platform created can be accessed especially by high school students about to carry out the entrance exams, contributing to their training specifically in the curricular components of History and Geography.
