Integration of Free Software PACS into Medical Applications: Management of Multicenter Clinical Studies and Digitized Medical Records
Abstract
This paper describes the integration of PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication) to a couple of different medical OS applications: Document Management System (DMS) and Multicenter Clinical Trials Management Systems (MCCTS). Wado (Web Access to Dicom Objects) was used in both cases. We are also studying data model changes to support the DICOM WG26 Pathology/Microscopy imaging. These medical imaging applications will be implemented over a Globus Grid platform, in order to distribute graphics processing.References
