Investigating the thinking of teachers and students of ICT courses regarding privacy while using social networks
Abstract
Social networks have increased the sharing of personal information, which has exposed people's privacy. Teachers and students of Information and Communication Technology courses are digital technology consumers and producers. In this study, we investigated how often teachers and students are concerned about privacy when using systems (e.g., social networks, apps, internet). In our exploratory research, we obtained 91 valid responses. Based on the data, we observed that there are already participants who are always or often concerned about privacy when using the applications, and the results were above 50%.
