Edubi: gamified and geolocated social network for ubiquitous and informal learning contexts
Abstract
Digital educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) are already adopted in distance and face-to-face education, however, their scope of use is often directly related to formal learning. As a way to contribute with a set of tools that can complement the teaching-learning practices of teachers and students, through informal and contextualized experiences, this paper presents the Edubi system. It is a multi-platform software based on the principles of ubiquitous and informal education. Furthermore, it is composed by four applications (Web, Mobile, TV and Watch) and two integration components that allow you to enrich them with contents coming from Moodle, Wikipedia and YouTube.
