The Proceedings of the 24th Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia 2018)  bring the articles selected and presented at the edition of the event held in Salvador, from October 16 to 19, 2018. This edition includes 37 full papers and 26 short papers, selected from 111 full papers and 53 short papers submissions, with acceptance rates of 33,3% and 49%, respectively. Each submitted paper was assigned to at least three program committee members for review. The symposium committee adopted a double-blind review process to provide a fair selection from the submissions.
