The Influence of Analog and Digital Educational Games on Students Social Interaction

Abstract


The Educational Games Virtualization aims to design digital versi-ons for analog educational games. One of the main current challenges in thearea is the comparison between the analog and digital versions of the games, interms of learning, engagement, motivation, among other aspects. To face thischallenge, we conducted an experimental study with a sample composed of 34students of basic education to compare the effects of the analog version withthe digital version of an educational game for teaching Mathematics in terms ofstudents' social interaction. The main results indicate that there was no signifi-cant difference between the analog and digital versions of the game in terms ofsocial interaction.
