The Proceedings of the 20th Symposium on High-Performance Computing Systems (SSCAD 2019) bring the papers selected and presented during the edition held in Campo Grande-MS, in October 16-18. In this issue, the proceedings include 36 full papers and 4 short papers. These works were selected through the double-blind peer-review process, from a total of 58 submitted articles, which implied a 62% acceptance rate for complete articles. The Program Committee was coordinated by Raphael Y. de Camargo and Wellington Martins, who organized this volume. The articles included in this volume were submitted on 08/19/2019, accepted for publication on 09/10/2019, with the final version submitted on 09/23/2019.
