The Proceedings of the 2nd Brazilian Workshop on Social Network Analysis and Mining (BraSNAM 2013) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Maceió, during the period from 24 to 25 July 2013. In this issue, the proceedings include 17 full papers and 11 short papers. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer-review process, from a total of 68 papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 41%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Fabrício Benevenuto (UFMG) and Jonice Oliveira (UFRJ), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on April 19, 2013, accepted for publication on May 29, 2013, with the final version submitted on June 17, 2013.
