Towards the Conception of Guidelines for Gamification Design from the perspective of the feminist HCI

Abstract

Gamification is the use of game elements in non-playful contexts aimed at engaging a specific audience and motivating behaviors. Taking into account diversity as an important factor in the development of technological solutions, it is clear that currently the vast majority of people developing in the area of gamification are men, which makes gamification an interesting object of study. This work aims to establish a set of guidelines to help researchers in the design of gamification from the perspective of the feminist HCI. As a result, it is expected that solutions can have greater creative diversity and that people feel more included in the process.
