Preventing accessibility barriers: Guidelines for using user interface design patterns in mobile applications

Abstract


This document presents a synthesis of the article "Preventing accessibility barriers: Guidelines for using user interface design patterns in mobile applications" that was published in The Journal of Systems & Software. The paper proposes a set of guidelines that helps developers/designers to use interface design patterns for construction of applications for mobile devices, avoiding the insertion of accessibility barriers in the interface.
