Tool for early identification of Depressive Symptoms based on the PHQ-9

Abstract


Introduction: Depression is a mental disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. Objective: To develop a chatbot to support the early identification and monitoring of depressive symptoms, based on the PHQ-9, which scores nine diagnostic criteria for major depression according to the DSM-IV. Methodology: The Scrum framework was applied for development, and Figma was used as a prototyping tool. Results: The system was implemented with intuitive interfaces, facilitating screening and enabling continuous monitoring.
