Human resources training in the area of Human-Computer Interaction, its implications, and impacts in different regions of a country
Abstract
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has been referenced as one of the most important areas for the integration between humans and the different forms of everyday technologies. IHC has played a central role in the evolution of computer technologies, the graphical user interface, for example, has had a significant impact on the popularization of command line-based operating systems, the browser's multimedia and interactive features have helped popularize the Internet and, More recently, it is challenged by mobile and ubiquitous computing, notably with regard to the influences of different contextual variables that interfere with interactions. Despite the importance of the IHC area, little is discussed about the qualification of skilled labor in this area. In this sense, this panel aims to present the opinions and experiences of three research teachers who are responsible for the formation of numerous masters and doctors in the national and international scenario, allowing to reflect the implications and importance of the insertion of these professionals in the market and in the academic area of different regions of a country.
