The Proceedings of the 1st Life Improvement in Quality by Ubiquitous Experiences Workshop (LIQUE 2021), together with IMX 2021 - ACM International Conference on Interactive Media Experiences, bring the papers selected and presented in New York City (virtual) on June 21, 2021. In this issue, the proceedings include 5 short papers. These papers were selected through a blind review, from a total of 7 short papers, which implied an acceptance rate of 71%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Anselmo Cardoso de Paiva (Universidade Federal do Maranhão), Aura Conci (Universidade Federal Fluminense), Débora Christina Muchaluat Saade (Universidade Federal Fluminense), Fátima L. S. Nunes Marques (Universidade de São Paulo) and Tiago Bonini Borchartt (Universidade Federal do Maranhão), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 04/09/2021, accepted for publication on 04/29/2021, with the final version submitted on 05/28/2021.
