Heart Wars: um exergame de batalha controlado por dispositivos vestíveis
Abstract
Smartphones and wearable computing elements are now widespread, and represent an ideal platform for creating Exergames. This paper presents Heart Wars, a mobile serious game in which users control the application with biometric heart rate data. The proposed Exergame inserts game elements in the physical activity trying to minimize loss of concentration and user’s focus in the exercise. Heart Wars was developed supervised by physical education professionals and aims to increase the performance and the engagement of the exercise by the users. The mobile application was submitted to an usability evaluation with 10 users. In the investigated group, there was a good acceptance of the proposal concerning its aspects of design, motivation and engagement.
